Stamford American International School (SAIS) is a co-educational, private international school in Singapore that enrolled its first students in August 2009. It is owned and operated by Cognita, an international group of schools. The site was made available by the Singapore government in 2008, on the grounds of the former Upper Serangoon Secondary School, to help meet demand from businesses recruiting employees from overseas, and Cognita was selected to build the school. After opening at an interim Foundation Campus, the school moved into its purpose-designed permanent campus in 2012.
Stamford American operates across two campuses linked by a shuttle bus service. The Early Learning Village on Chuan Lane caters to the youngest children, from Pre-Nursery through KG2, while the Elementary and Secondary campus on Woodleigh Lane — near Woodleigh MRT station — serves students from Grades 1 to 12.
