Maximum 4 students
Students are grouped by learning pace, not just by level — if no existing session matches your child’s pace, we open a new one.
Class registration for the 2027 school year is open.
Our tutors help Sec 1 G1 students understand everyday texts, write complete sentences and explain ideas aloud. We use your child’s schoolwork to see where they need help and practise that part together.

A school notice may give an activity, a date, an instruction and a reason. Ask who it is for and what that person should do. Then choose the details that answer the question.
The tutor may cover part of a notice and ask your child to explain what remains. At home, ask them to put an announcement in their own words before answering a question about it.
The task
A notice says: “Bring a reusable bottle. Water dispensers are available beside the hall.” Why should students bring a bottle?
Worked response
They can fill it at the dispensers and have water to drink.
The answer connects the instruction to the available water. Copying “beside the hall” would name a place without explaining the reason.

Choose a small event your child can describe: helping at home, trying an activity or solving a disagreement. Ask for three stages in order. Turn each stage into a complete sentence, then check who did what and when. Only add detail once the reader can follow the event.
Progress can be visible before a test score changes. Keep an early paragraph and compare it with a later independent one. Does each sentence make sense? Can the reader follow the sequence? Does your child notice a recurring error without a prompt? These are useful reasons to increase the challenge and reduce the support.
A child may leave out the person doing an action or join several ideas without a full stop. We work on one complete message at a time, then connect it to the next.
Matching a question word to a passage can lead to a copied answer that misses the point. We ask students to explain what the sentence means before selecting evidence.
We start with a familiar notice, short account or school task. Your child explains what it means before writing an answer.
We discuss how a sentence works, then ask your child to write another using the same rule.
Students revisit the skill through platform practice and spaced review. The tutor checks their answers before moving on.

Frequently asked questions
Four, at most. Students are grouped by learning pace, not just by year level, so each lesson moves at the speed of the students actually in it. When no session matches a child’s pace, we open a new one. In a class that size, every child answers questions, gets their working checked, and gets help the moment they need it.
A dedicated trial session at a different timeslot is offered at a subsidised rate of $30. We’ll help you explore the available options.
We start with short reading, writing and speaking tasks at your child’s current level. These show what needs teaching and build the skills used in later G1 assessments.
Yes. Conversation supplies gestures, shared context and chances to clarify. Written work has to make the meaning clear on its own. A tutor can use a child’s spoken explanation to build a complete written answer and then check whether the child can repeat that process.
A recent English exercise with teacher feedback is useful, including an unfinished attempt. It shows how your child currently approaches the work. After your request, we confirm the 2027 school level, English subject level and suitable schedule by message.
