Maximum 4 students
Students are grouped by learning pace, not just by level — if no existing session matches your child’s pace, we open a new one.
Class registration for the 2027 school year is open.
Our tutors help Sec 4 G1 students prepare for writing, language-use and oral tasks. Recent papers show us what to revise. Students work on those difficulties, then practise complete and timed responses.

After marking a practice paper, group errors by the decision that failed. An omitted writing requirement, a tense mistake and a misread notice need different teaching. Choose a small focus, explain the correction and practise it with a fresh question before returning to a larger timed section.
Keep short notes that tell the student what to do next, such as “check the recipient and required points before drafting”. Try the correction in another task to see whether the mistake happens less often.
The task
A task asks a student to describe a problem, explain its effect and request help. The response describes the problem and asks for help. What should be revised first?
Worked response
Add a clear explanation of how the problem affects the writer, using details relevant to the recipient.
A required part of the message is missing. Polishing adjectives would leave that gap unresolved. Check task completion before fine-tuning the language.

G1 oral preparation needs attention to phrasing, pronunciation and meaning in reading aloud, as well as developed responses in spoken interaction. Read a short text in sensible phrases, then explain what it means. For discussion, answer the question directly and add a reason or relevant experience before responding to a new prompt.
The 2027 G1 syllabus specifies computer-delivered Writing. Practise planning, typing and checking on screen, following the school’s guidance. Use the G1 assessment table in the exam-format guide for its task requirements.
Doing another paper helps only if the next attempt changes. We identify whether the recurring issue is task reading, sentence control, selection or timing, then teach that part directly.
G1 spoken interaction requires a response to the examiner’s question. We practise listening to follow-ups and developing a relevant answer, alongside separate reading-aloud work.
We choose a few recurring mistakes from recent work to practise in class, while keeping stronger skills in the revision routine.
Students try another question under assessment conditions. We check accuracy and how long each part took.
Platform practice and spaced review revisit the topics taught in class. The tutor uses those answers to plan the next lesson.

Frequently asked questions
Four, at most. Students are grouped by learning pace, not just by year level, so each lesson moves at the speed of the students actually in it. When no session matches a child’s pace, we open a new one. In a class that size, every child answers questions, gets their working checked, and gets help the moment they need it.
A dedicated trial session at a different timeslot is offered at a subsidised rate of $30. We’ll help you explore the available options.
K100 gives Writing 30%, Language Use and Comprehension 40%, Listening 10% and Oral Communication 20%. G1 includes cloze and reading aloud. Our exam-format guide provides the separate G1 table so families do not apply G2/G3 task requirements by mistake.
Consider the paper’s weighting and the mistake itself. A grammar problem that affects several tasks may need extra practice, while oral and listening remain part of the routine. Recent answers help the tutor choose the balance.
Bring a recent paper or marked writing task. The tutor can examine how your child approaches the work and teach a manageable next step. The team confirms the student’s 2027 level, course and suitable lesson time after your request.
