Maximum 4 students
Students are grouped by learning pace, not just by level — if no existing session matches your child’s pace, we open a new one.
Class registration for the 2027 school year is open.
Our tutors help Sec 3 G3 students keep essays on topic, explain language choices and choose summary points. Lessons use current assignments to work on recurring mistakes before the final examination year.

Plan how the paragraphs fit together. An essay about volunteering might explain what students learn, then discuss how to organise participation. If it considers compulsory hours, explain how that changes the recommendation.
Our tutors ask students to test each example against the claim. Does it demonstrate the reason, or merely mention the topic? We also look for changes in scope: an argument about all students cannot quietly rely on an example that applies only to a small group. Precision makes the position more credible.
The task
A draft claims, “Online learning is always better because students can watch a lesson anywhere.” How could the claim become more defensible?
Worked response
Recorded lessons can help students revisit an explanation at a convenient time, provided they can get help with questions they still cannot resolve.
The revised claim identifies a particular benefit and its condition. It no longer treats one advantage as proof that every form of learning is better online.

In comprehension, the student selects evidence and explains its meaning. In summary, selection follows a prescribed focus and the response must preserve the source’s distinctions. In oral discussion, examples support a personal view. Teaching these tasks together can reveal a shared difficulty, such as a habit of making claims without enough explanation.
Practise each task’s requirements. A summary keeps the source’s meaning; an oral answer develops the student’s own view. Recent schoolwork helps us choose which skill to practise and when to add timing.
Confident sentences can conceal a claim that is too broad or poorly supported. We work on the position, reasons and examples before polishing expression.
Our tutors ask students to connect the chosen expression to the specific impression it creates. The answer needs to account for the language in this context.
The tutor reads a recent answer to see whether the student misunderstood the text or left part of the explanation out.
Discussing a claim exposes gaps before they become a page of writing. The student practises responding to challenge, then builds that reasoning into the draft.
We use short exercises, spaced review and longer tasks to check what the student can do before adding timed work.

Frequently asked questions
Four, at most. Students are grouped by learning pace, not just by year level, so each lesson moves at the speed of the students actually in it. When no session matches a child’s pace, we open a new one. In a class that size, every child answers questions, gets their working checked, and gets help the moment they need it.

Sec 3 gives students time to work on recurring mistakes before the final year. We combine focused exercises with complete tasks, then add timed sections as they improve.
Start with what the phrase means in the passage, then explain what the wording suggests or emphasises. We compare answers so students can see which explanation fits the question and text.
Yes. Students practise developing a viewpoint, responding to follow-ups and selecting information from audio tasks. These skills are part of the weekly teaching priorities, chosen alongside written work using the student’s needs and school assessment calendar.
